Best Recession Proof Industry – Appliance Repair

Appliance repair is one of the most steady and reliable businesses. Whether the economy is up or down, there will always be a demand for appliance repair.

Every house has appliances and every neighborhood is a potential source of business. There is always a demand for repairs from stoves, fridges and laundry machines to dishwashers and freezers. Appliances are built to last, however a large part of that is repairing them for more years of service.

When the economy slumps into a recession, appliance repair becomes even more important.  Demand for repair goes up when the economy goes down because people don’t want to spend on new appliances. And most of the time new machines won’t fit into the cureent space because measurements are different. Repairing is less expense than buying new machines and having to modify or rebuild new cabinants.

A large number of older homes have old appliances in need constant repairs. Additional work will come from a rotation of neighborhood residents dealing with the same appliance issues. Loud washers, leaking dishwashers and broken icemakers are constant concerns.

Repair demand may rise or fall based on  the economy, but because homes need working appliances when things break. This makes appliance repair recession-proof.
