GE Profile™ known for their innovation, announced this year the Top Load 900 series will be the first-ever washer series with built in Alexa. The company’s decision to integrate Alexa into its latest laundry machines stemmed from consumer demand for a more personalized and smarter experience.
Customers can ask Alexa to name specific fabrics which includes jeans, gym clothes, blankets and even cashmere and Alexa can recognize thousands of sound combinations. You are able to ask Alexa to identify types of stains such as “pinot noir,” “chocolate bar,” or “deodorant,” and the washer will automatically adjust to a wash tailored to the specific request.
The new Top Load 900 series gives owners a more personalized laundry experience by making the machine more intuitive to the needs of every household. Consumers no longer have to know what setting to use for grass stains or how to care for silk because Alexa can help.
Beyond having Alexa built in, the Top Load 900 series also has Enhanced Smarter Wash Technology that uses adaptive technology to deliver a stronger clean. Consumers have the ability to adjust the cycle based on the desired power and care for each item with the Enhanced Smarter Wash technology. Smart Wash and Smart Rinse features rely on sensors to measure soil and detergent levels to help minimize wash times and deliver better fabric care.
Executive Director of clothes care at GE Appliances, Michael Mattingly said, “You no longer have to know what setting washes grass stains or how to care for silk… just ask Alexa and the washer and dryer will do the rest.”
