In 2021 Miele Group Almost Reached 5 Billion Euros

Miele Group reached a worldwide sales value of 4.84 billion euro in 2021. They are also stepping up efforts towards achieving the goals of the Paris accord on climate change with long-lasting and energy-efficient products and with the use of green steel and CO₂ neutrality at its locations.

Like all companies, Miele has felt the impact of disruption in supply chains with respect to semiconductors than ever before in the manufacturer’s 123-year history, yet more products were built and sold on aggregate in 2021. With sales growth at these levels, Miele has grown faster than the long-term average.

Miele explains – sales have developed positively in all product groups, especially refrigeration, cooking and dishwashing. Laundry and floor care and in coffee making, sales are also significantly higher than 2020. This can be due to the current model ranges and their alignment with the principles of resource conservation and climate protection.

Current political and economic repercussions due to the war in Ukraine could affect outlook for the rest of the year. Miele is represented by its own sales company, as is also the case in Russia where they suspended the supply of appliances to Russia above and beyond EU sanctions. This applies with immediate effect and until further notice. Products for the healthcare sector remain exempt because they are not covered by the current sanctions.
