Bosch who’s always innovating introduced a cooktop that is scratch resistant thanks to a special coating developed by the company’s partner Schott- GlassProtec. The new solution is resistant to unsightly scratches caused by sponges or sand.
Lots of households use sponges to remove dried-on food from the cooktop which many times can be abrasive. They clean but also leave behind scratches. Metal objects can leave marks on glass-ceramic cooktop too.
Bosch reports that GlassProtect can prevent most of the scratches. The special coating 70 percent more resistant to scratches caused by abrasive sponges than conventional glass-ceramic cooktops with no coating.
The GlassProtect surface is being presented as part of the elegant accent line carbon black product family in two versions: one model with the ComfortProfile and one flush-mounted model. Both models have three standard cooking zones as well as a multi-purpose FlexInduction zone. The extractor hood can be conveniently controlled via the cooktop with the Home Connect app. The PerfectFry frying sensor ensures healthy frying thanks to its reliable temperature control that preserves vitamins and is gentle on cookware.
