New HydroClean Miele Ovens

Miele has developed a new steam oven with HydroClean self-cleaning function.

Since grease splashes and food residue soil the stainless-steel oven interior after cooking, with the new HydroClean self-cleaning function, burnt-on food can be completely and effortlessly removed giving an oven interior its new look.

The cleaning feature works after cooking and all accessories are removed. The HydroClean function uses specially formulated liquid cleaner which is poured into the strainer at the base of the oven. The liquid is automatically mixed with fresh water and pumped to the top of the oven interior and sprayed uniformly around the cavity by an impeller.  A process that is very similar to a dishwasher.

The procedure is automatically performed several times before the foam is rinsed, drained and completed with a short drying phase. Coarser soil can be wiped out to residue left behind after pyrolytic cleaning. It is recommended that the HydroClean function is used every three months or more often if the oven is frequently used for roasting and grilling.

HydroClean ovens include another key feature – CombiCooking which combines conventional heating with additional moisture. Individual cooking stages include operating mode, temperature, time and moisture. Users can also choose from more than 200 automatic programs for items such as rice, meat, bread and desserts.

The Gourmet Roasting option ensures succulent and tender meat by cooking gently over an extended period of time and at a low temperature. The additional moisture helps improve cooking and browning. Meat cooks uniformly with a thin brown crust – without the need for searing first.

Miele offers Mix & Match which provides menu planning support by suggesting combinations of up to three different ingredients and recommending how to cook the dish. A selection of ingredients and suggestions are provided by the Miele app.
