Popular Science publication’s annual “Best of What’s New Awards” names Whirlpool’s innovative Top Load Washer with 2-in-1 Removable Agitator an industry first.
The awards program recognizes breakthrough companies with products or technologies that represent significant advancements within specific categories. Whirlpool’s washer, model WTW8127LC launched earlier this year and received the honored within the Home category.
The washer features a multi-motion agitator post that can be removed to accommodate large laundry loads, leaving an impeller in place. The product launched last spring at Lowe’s and distribution has since been extended to independent dealers and other national chains. It carries a suggested retail price of $1,299.

The Popular Science award is one of many awards Whirlpool has received for the 2-in-1 washer. It also earned a TWICE VIP Award in the Major Appliances, Laundry category with Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards well as Good Housekeeping’s 2021 Cleaning Award for “Most Innovative Washing Machine.”
