Appliances Has Launched Appliance Manufacturing in Connecticut

Since 2016, GE Appliances has invested $2 billion in new products, technology and growing its U.S. manufacturing and distribution. Fresh off the CoCREATE Stamford production line is the first GE Monogram Smart Flush Hearth Oven.  This is GE Appliances’ newest manufacturing operation based in Connecticut.

The company is commitment to American manufacturing and celebrated the production launch with their first appliance rolling off the line at the state-of-the-art micro factory.

Their Monogram Smart Flush Hearth Oven is the first appliance built inside CoCREATE Stamford facility. It is a ventless, electric oven that brings wood-fired brick ovens inside the home. The Monogram Smart Flush Hearth Oven has improved design and cooking features, built on the success of the popular 2019 Monogram Hearth Oven.

When fully operational, CoCREATE Stamford will feature a community space, provide hands-on educational opportunities and offer consumer experiences for kitchen and home inspiration.

GE is also building on its commitment to supporting workforce development at CoCREATE Stamford through partnerships with the University of Connecticut and Connecticut State College and Universities. The facility has started hiring local college students for paid part-time employment that lets them work alongside engineers to discover future careers.

“CoCREATE Stamford is an innovative model that not only brings economic growth and jobs to our City, but most importantly aligns workforce development and educational opportunities for students interested in the fields of engineering and manufacturing,” said Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons. “The City of Stamford is thrilled to have GE Appliances in our community, and we are eager to continue being a partner as CoCREATE Stamford moves forward and evolve to reach its fullest potential.”

GE Appliances expects to launch more appliances from CoCREATE Stamford and be completely open by the start of 2023.
